HDMI to SMA Breakout Board

This board is useful for breaking out the individual lanes of an HDMI signal for viewing on an oscilloscope or signal analyser. It has four SMA connectors and 50Ω trace impedance.

Works with HDMI up to version 1.4.

HDMI Pinout

The I2C connection for EDID is routed to an additional HDMI port so that communication with an HDMI 1.4 input device can be passed through. Sometime this is needed for resolution selection of the transmitting device. An I2C memory chip (Microchip 24LC256) is also on board along with plated through holes for I2C connection.
